Fake It Until You Make It (“FUYM”, “we”, “us”) operates https://www.joinfakeit.com and the Social Media Command Center, a private content management application for the brand.

Waitlist: email address only, used to keep you informed about the launch and early access.

Command Center account: email address and password. Your password is managed by our authentication provider; we do not have access to it in plain text. If you sign in through a third-party provider (for example Google), we receive the basic profile information required to log you in.

Command Center content: briefs, posts, media assets and brand settings you create in the app.

With your explicit consent through OAuth, the Command Center can connect to your Instagram account (via the official Meta/Instagram Graph API) and Pinterest account (official Pinterest API).

We then store: account ID, account name or username, access token, refresh token (Pinterest), expiration date and granted permissions (scopes).

Based on the permissions you actually grant, the app may access basic account information and publish content on your behalf. We do not collect private messages, follower lists or data unrelated to the Command Center features.

This data is used solely to manage, schedule and publish content, retrieve the information required for the service to work, and display the analytics available through these APIs.

We only request the permissions strictly necessary for the features you use.

Data is hosted on Lovable Cloud (database, authentication and file storage).

OAuth tokens and login credentials are stored server-side, never in the public site code. Access to Command Center data is limited to team members with an authorized role (owner, admin, editor, viewer), enforced by database-level security rules.

Exchanges with the Meta/Instagram and Pinterest APIs are made over HTTPS.

We keep data as long as your account or signup is active, or as long as it is needed for the service to operate.

Waitlist emails: kept until you ask us to delete them or you unsubscribe.

Social account tokens and identifiers: kept until you disconnect the account or ask us to delete them.

Command Center content: kept until deleted by an authorized member or when the account is closed.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing medias@joinfakeit.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (objection, restriction, portability) under applicable laws. We will respond to any request within a reasonable time.

You can disconnect an Instagram or Pinterest account at any time from the Command Center Connections page. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens and identifiers for that account.

You can also revoke access from your Meta or Pinterest account settings, then ask us to delete the related data at medias@joinfakeit.com.

The site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics tools.

We only use the browser’s local storage to remember your language preference and, for the Command Center, your authentication session.

Lovable Cloud: hosting, database, authentication and storage.

Meta / Instagram Graph API and Pinterest API: only if you connect a social account, and only within the scope of the permissions you grant.

Shopify: read-only display of public product data; no personal data is sent there.

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service. The last updated date is shown below; if a material change occurs, we will note it on this page.
